What is the Littering Hub?
The Littering Hub is an online programme that increases knowledge about littering and its environmental and social impact. It improves users’ awareness and increases motivation to improve their behaviour.
How does it work?
The Littering Hub uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) principals to challenge offenders’ thinking to help them move down a pathway of self-realisation in terms of understanding the implications of their actions and correcting their poor decision making.
The intervention is an online digital pathway, designed to assess, engage and challenge offenders. The method and the technology is used currently by the police sector as part of out of court disposal intervention services for low level offenders such as anti-social behaviour offences.
What topics does it cover?
